Post been busy lately making [fake] ammo strap
hi guys, this time i want to share an experimental project, a homage to ammo strap

i don't have ammo strap and not really interested to buy an ammo leather pouch to make a strap, i just like stamps/marks on the leather

the pictures will tell the stories :)

untreated vegetable tanned leather
Image

dyed with dark brown color, stitching

darkened the leather with mink oil and buffed

any comments and critics are highly welcome

thanks guys :)

Update : i think this strap is perfect for my next custom project, PAM Fiddy CLV 1977 :D

Great job, perfect stitching, coloring and cuts. Did you buy it pre-stamped or do you have you own burner? You really did a great job on that strap.
I have a love hate relationship with untreated veg-tan. It is really easy to cut and stitch, but will stretch like crazy with moisture. The oil tan won't stretch, but it also won't cut cleanly.

That's a very nice strap....I especially love this touch...the gap between the stitch to allow for the 77

I love the idea of using the soldering iron to heat the logo.
I may have to try that with my own stamps. My wife just loves the smell or burnt cow ;)

Super slick, a heated plate has to be easier than one you have to pound, wish I had thought of that.
