This came today, now the quest to find a suitable case begins :)

Measures: top-plate 42.4mm going down in steps 41.8mm, 41.3mm, 40.55mm. 6.75mm thick.

Ideas of suitsble cases are wellcome!

Nenolas,

I think a DSN 52mm Egi can be made to take up your movement with maybe takeing a little away from the inside. With such a case you do not have to destroy a large thread for the case back, when making room. CB is fastenend with 6 screws. Would make a nice and authentic 8 day watch for sure. Or use a 60mm Egi, if you dare to wear it....

In addition to EGI, there is also this here - viewtopic.php?f=26&t=38677 - which I am trying to figure out best way to make the necessary modifications to case happen or have someone do it for me as I certainly don't have the tools to do this? I have this same movement, which I need a stem for so if anyone has one, please do tell.

Good luck on your build  .

As far as I have understood obtaining an DNS case is not the most easy task, in addition I'm not quite keen on a 52mm or 60mm sized watch... My 18cm wrist is not the right place for something that big :D

This would be the most optimal end result, would absolutely love to fit the movement into a 6152/1. The problem is of cause the fact that you will need to heavily modify the case and most probably make it a top-loader. If I recall right a Jackson mm68 has an inner diameter of aprox 40.5mm. As the top-plate of this movement is 42.4mm you will need to take of ~1mm of the sides... This will most probably destroy the treads for the case back (if you want a bottom-loader). Again if you go for a top-loader, you will need to make a new bezel reflecting the new diameter.

I would also be fine with a pilot styled case for the movement, basically anything less then 47mm would suit me :D

My Kristall running again....

A BIG thank you to Nenolas!!!

Bought this one a few weeks ago and had to find out the center wheel pinion was broken and stuck in the cp. Nenolas answered my wtb within 30 minutes I think, and one week later I had most of the 3602 gear work in my hands. Free of any charge. This!! is HF!!!

Cleaned and dressed it up a litte, and it is now ready for dropping into a 6154 case soon.

Nice detail: note the two endstones on the main plate. Together with the Breguet hairspring there is only one Cortebert movement sporting the same configuration - 618, Type 1.
