Can any of the experts here chime in on this one? I’m a little out of my depths when it comes to the 616 and would be interested if this one is legit

Not really an expert but I have seen enough of them to say this much:

The movement is inside a usual watch, it has the expected wabi after being serviced by an idiot - that explains the low price.
The bridges seem to match. Regulator looks correct. The Cort stamp is there. The pallet bridge looks different than others I have seen. The ratchet screw is not original.
The seller posted large, pretty clear pictures and has 100% feedback, been on eBay 12 years.

Hope that helps.

That was super helpful, thank you so much!

The watch that started the Homage hobby? I don't know but these are rare and sought after.

price is low V., you are right...

but "working fine" and "sold as is" is just not enough info for me...even "make offer" option present... seems fishy although cannot say Y ... for now.....

seller located in US, shipped from Chekoslovakia.....

I’m an Angelus novice... would this movement need to be converted?

Yes .. it is a stem winder SF240, you can see the winding crown in one of the photos. It is an older non-incabloc SF240.

It still would require the usual work on the movement to drop into a case ... for a proper mod ... add another $600 to $800 to have it completely overhauled, non-alarm plates installed and any worn parts replaced

I guess the seller is somewhat vetted and reliable?

telling by the markings on the balance wheel .. the caliber is from 1942-45 ... it is non-incabloc

It’s a stemwind alarm movement likely nonshock vs incabloc

It would need conversion.

Thanks for all the input on the Angelus, guys. Makes me kick myself harder for not jumping on that Tan build that just recently popped up for sale here.
