I confused.
After, on the forum it's maybe 1500 but with 6 months waiting...
So to know how much you are willing to pay for the wait and the chance to have a real if ever it's a real one.
Because doubt still persists...

The point is not that it is a fake Chileant movement. It is however, a fake Rolex, that is being sold as the real deal, and that is a problem! If you want to pay $2500 for a Chileant 618 then good for you :) As long as you know what you are paying for.

+1 agree 100%

Here are my guesses: ratchet wheel, regulator, pallet bridge, three holes next to escapement bridge. And the wear on the different parts is all over the place.

This movement is definitely suspect and I feel sorry for whoever bought it.

The main plate of this movement is post 1956 and based off a Cortebert type 4 or 5. You tell from the pallet fork bridge. It is different from the earlier movements.

Interestingly this type of bridge is also seen on the 618 of the Pam 21

Rolex 618 Type 2 was produced in 1953 based off a Cortebert type 3

Another inaccuracy is the ratchet wheel, type 2's had a dished ratchet wheel. This wheel is also looks to be from Molina 6301 you can see it is slightly thinner than the crown wheel.

Finally you can tell all the bridges came from different watches. Most likely this is a Cortebert type 4 with a bridge

conversion

The bridges can be bought from NW for 700 and the movement for around 400 max for a really nice type 3 Cortebert
total 1100
Less than half what this went for!

Thanks!
This was enlightning.

Not a very pretty movement IMO but maybe this is the last one in the universe, so they feel it is worth $10,000? LOL

For $1100 it would be a good deal. $10k? That's crazy.

So how many of these Cortebert 618's movements are there. do they come with serial numbers on them like the other Cortebert movements from that time period?

does anybody have any info?

There's a reason they're at 98.2% positive feedback.

and that round the world watch looks like something I would buy my Grandma at a seaside curios shop for 5 bucks!

I agree the tourby movement is largely overpriced. As is most of their movements which definitely can be sourced cheaper elsewhere.

However, what do you guys think of the rest of their parts, I was looking to get some heat treated hands from them which cost $100 but seem decent quality compared to most ebay stuff.

Also, I am looking at their 6497 case which is one of the smallest around at 42mm and seems (?) to be better quality then the run of the mill parnis/ corgut cases. Do you guys know any other sources for 6497 based cases and hands? Can't seem to find many under 42mm.

Funny, I was just looking at those hands and thought they do look really good. Additionally, the minute hand being 18mm long is really nice because most of the others are only 16mm and that is way too short for a 44 - 47mm watch.

That was already mentioned a few posts before...however, I think the ad says $95K for a set of five wathces, so less than 20K per watch - that's not so bad
