Base kit that Jorge is selling for $700. I don't expect it to end cheap.

I was thinking you could buy it directly from him for almost the same price.

Yes.
And he would even swap the plates out.

Hello,
What can I think about this mouvement? 100€

Hi Toofsy,

chances are high this is a 7xx cyma. Size 17 ligne should be around 38mm. Fits most 47mm cases, but needs a custom (thinner) movement ring. I have such a movement, the quality is equal or better than the average Cortebert 616, as it has a very smart designed spring stud and a Brequet hair spring. It just lacks the famous Rolex connection the Cortebert has, that's why it sells cheaper.

cheers, Wil

Yes definitely a 17 ligne 700 series CYMA/Tavannes, personally i'm not a 100% original homage type of guy, more of a "lets see if it fits and what can i build" out of these parts, and at the present I'm really liking British GSTP dials ( and I've never seen one with sub at 9, the closest being a Helvetia aviator for t'other side, so its a must in a wristwatch for me if i can keep it at 44mm or less) and if that dial doesn't work out, i'll start on something else, I'm also liking the vintage Longines Calatrava's, which i'm planning to use another CYMA movement from the 500 series for a 41/42mm oversized build.

Hi all, long-time lurker here.
I'm wondering what people think of this Hamilton "cushion" watch. Seems to be from 1924 or 25 based on the serial number. I stopped bidding because it seems to be a smaller watch and not something I'd wear that often. Final price of $95 seems fairly good though. Any thoughts?

Nice watch. That is a fair price if it is in good condition.
