Is it allowed to post Panerai homage builds on ebay?
I thought you will get problems with hurting the trademarks or copyright laws.

I'm seeing all kinds of questionable stuff on Ebay these days. Lots of homages and lots of Rolex movements in "custom" (read Vietnamese fake) cases. And they're going for good money.

Like here you can post but do not show trademarks. There is a instruction on ebay site. If it is all like in it then no problems.
Too bad when someone sell simple replicas as genuine or counterfeit product, when it even are not described...

I think you may be mistaken about eBay being like HF when it comes to replicas. Their rules state:
"If the product bears a brand name or logo, was it produced either by that company, or by an official partner of that company? If not, then it's unauthorized."

Link to the page:
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/proh ... cy?id=4276

However, it seems that the market for replicas, of anything, is as big or bigger than that for the gen items and there are probably thousands of items on eBay showing logos that were not made by their owners. Maybe eBay can't keep up anymore? Or maybe they are happy making extra revenue from the fakes?

I think that the barrel bridge has been replaced and that the alarm "hand" on the dial side has been removed.

I did notice the CDG, but I have seen that on a genuine one too. It is a very nice movement.
Kind of makes me want to build another :D
