Hello Gentlemen!!

This is probably my “first post with a few pics of my builds”. Ive been a silent reader for about a year, building up courage from all them wonderful builds over here, getting some really cool and helpful friends who gave me valuable thoughts/ideas/advices and inspirations , to build my own watch!! And finally, here I am with the two watches I built- “Amaranthine” (dedicated to my little girl - Amy) and “Standard98”. Both inspired by the pam and pilot watches.

Current Specs:
1. Both dials were from the Artisan - Ross, painted, lumed and finished by me.
2. Movements are asian 6497 & 6498.
3. The “Amaranthine” dial was finished out with a cream dial color with some mottled aging effect.
4. The “Standard98” dial was painted mattle black, finished with a mixed coat of gloss and matte clear. The brass coin edge was just gloss clear coated to pop out in the sun.
5. All engravings were hand filled using acrylic paint.
6. Case for “Amaranthine” is a jackson mini fiddy “no cg” case.
7. Caseback for “Amaranthine” is from Athaya with custom engravings.
8. Case for the “Standard 98” watch is a generic / parnis 44mm case very mildly reshaped/refinished

There are a lot many more work to get done on these watches but I’d like to post the pics here. Pardon the crappy phone pics.. Do let me know on what you guys think!!

Great job!!!

Thanks so much for the kind words Albatross!! I honestly did want to do a write-up but the impatience bug caught me on the higher side and pushed me to post this right away. I will surely come up with a detailed write-up on these builds for sure!

To be frank, I was quite worried if my first project would be good enough to be posted but honestly it means a lot to get these comments from veterans like you guys cos' it motivates and inspires me to do more!! A big shout-out to Ross for helping me with my first two projects (and my future projects too!!) and to Belkin12 for his help on my third project. Love you guys and this forum!!

Sincerely,
Russel
