Which models had/has threads on the outside of the case back?
Is it supposed to screw on to a case or a movement ring?

all except 3646 families (3646, hornlug, welded lug)

Yeah,I hear you,what photobucket did will "live in infamy", if I may borrow from good old FDR.I "migrated" to imgur and am very satisfied with the service so far. :thumbup:

It was mostly for an auction text, I have sold, given away, traded many watches, tools and parts lately, sort of lost interest and will to go on doing this right now. Personal issues has been the main reason.

Sorry to hear that,M. I've also been reducing my watch collection lately,I enjoyed building them but,unfortunatelly,I almost never wear more them,with the honorable exception of one or two.
