Post Phillips auctioning some cool watches
I visited Phillips Auction house earlier. Recently, there has been a lot of talking about this company because they are auctioning Paul Newman's Rolex. And guess what? It is a Paul Newman Daytona. I took some pictures and hope you guys enjoy them.

And I saved the best for last. Two vintage Panerai watches.

I hope you guys enjoy the pictures and maybe find some inspiration.
It was nice to compare the original 3646 to our homages.

Paul Newman's watch was displayed in a separate room. That watch is not so accessible. It is displayed in the open, but it is surrounded by censors. If anyone gets too close, the censors activate, the lights turn off, and the watch drops into a safe and does not come out until ten seconds after you stand back. The whole thing happens really fast. I know because I tried to get closer and closer to get a decent picture, and suddenly the watch disappeared. It was kind of cool.

Me being the mature guy I am, I triggered the censors a few more times, intentionally. :P

LOL

Nice pics, the dial on that 6152 is very nteresting. Was the lume that white or is it camera lighting?

You know something, I did notice that. Yes, that picture does show how the dial looked in person.

They had so many interesting watches, and i had so little time. It was a shame. I will try to go back before the auction to take more (hopefully better) pictures.

I did get tickets to the auction. I guess it was a good call to wear deodorant today.

Big pictures. Sincerely, I do not see so many visual differences about our PAM constructions
